“Young people have always been the drivers of social change. And this generation holds unique promise.”

~ Charlize Theron

The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project strengthens the health and safety of young people in Southern Africa to unleash their power and potential.

Pillars of impact

Health

We partner with local organizations that provide sexual and reproductive health education, HIV/AIDS prevention, and reproductive health services to youth in order to break stigmas, expand access to care, and cultivate a new generation of health advocates.

Safety

We support on-the-ground initiatives to prevent gender-based violence while building protective community, professional, and peer networks that help young people live free from violence.

Community Leadership

We equip leaders (current and next gen) across the nonprofit sector with holistic support through summits, capacity-building grants, peer learning, networking, and mentorship opportunities, providing organizations and individuals with the resources, guidance, and skills to drive meaningful, lasting change.

Supercharging community‑driven programs

CTAOP centers trust, care, and responsiveness in all pillars of our work. We mobilize our unique resources, experience, and diverse relationships to support the work, strengthen the capacity, and respond to the self-determined needs of our Program Partners.
